In John Wick, released on DVD this week, the eponymous assassin checks into The Continental Hotel in Manhattan.
It is a hotel for assassins which has its own “house rules” about what kind of business can and cannot be done on the premises.
The exteriors of the hotel were filmed at the corner of Beaver St and Pearl St in the Financial District, which is actually a Sushi restaurant called Haru Sushi.

Received a proof copy of the book in the post last week and currently making some minor alterations and corrections before it is published and on sale for Thursday 22nd October.
Print copies and ebooks will be available for purchase online via Lulu Publishing with Amazon to follow in November.
Print copies will be available from Waterstones Union Bridge, Aberdeen and direct from myself at the Belmont Filmhouse.
This website is the home of Ext. New York City – Discover The Reel New York City On Location, a film travel guide for New York written by Dallas King.
The book will be available from Thursday 22nd October in both print and ebook formats.
With so many film locations in New York, it was impossible to fit them all in the first edition of the book so this website will feature unseen photos and locations from the Big Apple.
